The image shows a landscape with a river flowing close to us, meandering towards the right. Trees with slender branches line the riverbank, reaching upwards against a lightly shaded sky. Low hills with trees line the horizon. Industrial buildings, including tall chimneys, are visible behind the trees. The detailed brushstrokes create texture in the trees, buildings, and flowing water. The color palette is monochromatic, in shades of black and white.
