The painting shows a figure sitting or leaning towards the left side of the image. The person's facial features are not distinctly defined, but an outline of the nose and mouth is visible. The hair is dark, curly, framing the side of the face. The clothing appears to be elaborate, possibly a dress with voluminous sleeves or layers. A broad hat with a red ribbon or feather adorns the head. The person seems to be engaged in some activity, indicated by a lighter area around their hands. In the lower right corner, there is a soft, yellowish area. The background is a brownish tone with indistinct details.
