The artwork uses an etching technique with detailed and cross-hatched lines creating texture and depth. Two hares are depicted in the lower right section. The color palette is monochromatic, using shades of black and gray. Light and shadow play across the rough terrain, suggesting a setting at either dawn or dusk.
