Artist, French, 1791 - 1824

The image shows an engraved depiction of a horse in profile view, standing with its head turned slightly to the left. A person is engaging with another individual. The horse is covered with a striped blanket. Two men are talking near an archway, dressed in period attire. One man wears a brimmed hat. In the background, two more figures are partially visible near an arch structure. The scene is set inside a stone-walled space, possibly a stable or courtyard, with shadows and textured surfaces adding depth to the image.
