The image shows a man standing with his arms outstretched, looking downward. He has a beard, long hair, and wears a loincloth. A crown of thorns adorns his head, with rays emanating from it. He holds a staff or spear in his left hand. In the background, a rooster stands by a draped cloth on a wooden frame, with coins and dice scattered nearby. Hills or mountains and clouds with rain or beam lines are visible. The text "ECCE HOMO" is inscribed to the left.
