The image shows a landscape viewed from a low, water-level perspective. The horizon runs horizontally along the center, separating the water and sky. Industrial buildings with tall chimneys and a bridge are visible on the horizon. Near the viewer are two faintly sketched boats, one with rowing figures and another with a covered figure or cargo. The art style features light, sketchy, and loose etching lines, creating a simple and unfinished appearance. The color palette is monochromatic in shades of beige and black, typical of etching on paper.
