The image shows a man seated, waist up, facing slightly to the right. He has distinguishable facial features including a long beard, pronounced eyebrows, a strong nose, and an attentive gaze. His hair is medium-length, partly covered by a headscarf or cap with tassels. He wears a fur-lined garment and an elaborate chain around his shoulders. The man is holding an open book with one hand on the pages. The background is dark and textured, emphasizing the man in the forefront.
