The image depicts a village scene with buildings reflected in a body of water. A cobblestone bridge leads into the village, with old-fashioned buildings, chimneys, and varied rooflines clustered together. A central church tower dominates the skyline. The brushstrokes are detailed, highlighting textures of the roofs and walls. The color palette is monochromatic, using shades of sepia and gray. In the distance, leafless trees and more houses can be seen.
