The image depicts a rural scene with thatched-roof cottages clustered on the left side. The viewpoint is slightly elevated, showing a low horizon and a large tree dominating the right side. The detailed brushstrokes emphasize the foliage of the tree and the texture of the roofs. The color palette is monochromatic, using shades of black, gray, and white for contrast. In the distance, additional structures can be seen.
