This is a painting of a gorilla and two men in an anthropomorphic scene. The gorilla is dressed partially in human attire, seated at a table in between the two men. The man on the left wears a formal coat and a top hat, gesturing with his hand. The gorilla is wearing a top hat and the man on the right leans towards the gorilla with a hopeful expression, hands clasped together. The background shows a simple interior setting with a large square window. The painting is in the style of Honoré Daumier.
