The image shows a group of large rocks on a grassy incline. The horizon is not visible, and the sky occupies the upper third of the composition. The painting features loose and impressionistic brushwork with soft edges and varied strokes that provide texture to the rocks and grass. The color palette is earthy, with muted browns and greys for the rocks, deep greens for the grass, and a soft blue-grey for the sky. The rocks lean diagonally across the composition.
