The image shows a round bronze medal with an intricate relief design. The sculpture on the medal includes a personified female figure holding a wreath in her left hand and placing a dunce cap on the head of a character with anthropomorphized features, who is seated and looking upwards. Surrounding the scene is inscribed text in the outer border that reads "ERINNERUNG AN DEN 9. NOVEMBER 1918" and "FREIHEIT GLEICHHEIT BRUDERLICHKEIT." The bronze material of the medal provides it with a dark brown color and golden undertones on the raised surfaces.

The sculpture is a round bronze medallion depicting two women engaged in washing clothes in a large wooden tub. The women are in profile on either side of the tub, both wearing long dresses and headscarves. Above the women is a raised depiction of a classical building with columns and a triangular pediment. The numbers "19" are inscribed on either side of the building. Below the building and above the women, there is a block of text in German. The sculpture has a rich, dark bronze tone typical of bronze material, with lighter highlights emphasizing the raised sections and details.
