The image shows a man walking on a city sidewalk. He is viewed from a high angle, revealing the top of his head and a small portion of his upper body. His head is slightly tilted downward as if he is looking at something in his hand. The man's hair is dark and mostly covered by a hat. He is dressed in a dark suit or coat and stepping on the pavement. Next to him is a sign with the words "LUNCHEON FOUNTAIN" in bold lettering, which appears to be part of the establishment's neon signage. The sidewalk is made up of large concrete slabs with some dirt and stains, and there is a vented metal grate embedded in the ground. The framing and high angle suggest the photograph was taken from an elevated position, such as a building or staircase. The image is in black and white.
