We look down onto hill or the side of a valley that sweeps up and away from us in this horizonal, black and white photograph. The land is covered with trees, tree trunks, and some dirt lanes and patches. A low humped hill rises along the horizon, which comes three-quarters of the way up this composition. Pale clouds are against a pale sky above.
