This is a painting of an ornate dress design. The full-length dress is depicted in a teal color with a voluminous skirt embellished by a layer of black lace overlay. The bodice features a deep V-neckline lined with lace, complemented by long sleeves with lace cuffs. An additional detail is a small, incomplete sketch of a similar dress design in outline to the right of the painting. This is in the style of a fashion illustration, possibly reminiscent of mid-19th century costume illustrations. The composition highlights the elegance and elaborate design typical of clothing from that era.
