This is a drawing of a 19th-century style dress design. The image depicts a gown with a fitted bodice featuring an off-the-shoulder design with horizontal stripes blending into a V-shaped gathering at the front. The dress has voluminous sleeves with tiered flounces and flows into a full skirt adorned with vertical stripes. Accompanying the main colored drawing of the dress is a smaller, simpler line drawing, possibly intended as a back view of the dress, shown in less detail to highlight the design structure.
