The image shows a street view of a narrow lane lined with cottages. The horizon is positioned at the top third of the image with rooftops meeting the sky. Buildings and trees populate the area. The houses have steeply angled roofs and brick chimneys. At the end of the lane is a house with distinctive half-timbered construction. The sky has soft, diffuse clouds painted with light brushstrokes, creating a serene atmosphere. The color palette includes earthy tones, blues, grays, browns, and touches of greenery. A woman is near a washing line, adding to the everyday life scene. Figures are dispersed along the path, providing scale and perspective as they fade into the distance.
