Robert Frank

Artist, American, born Switzerland, 1924 - 2019

Three lightbulb-like objects with sockets at their bases are arranged in a diagonal row against a blank background in this black and white photograph. All three have cage-like components with wiring inside the bulbs but the designs differ. The largest bulb, to the left, has four prongs on the base, and the rectangular component inside fills most of the bulb. The other two are slightly smaller, and each has six prongs on the base. The cage-like component is round inside the middle bulb and a dark tip protrudes from the top of the bulb. The third has a square-shaped cage and a flat top. Vertical slits presumably from a previous binding line the right side of the white page.
