This is a drawing of a group of people gathered around a baby in a manger. The scene is intricately detailed, depicting several individuals in a barn or stable setting. To the left, there are several figures with animal skins draped over them, who appear to be observing and gesturing in awe or reverence towards the central figure of the baby resting on a bed of straw. To the right, a kneeling figure is reaching out towards the baby across from a wooden support beam or post, dividing the composition. Behind this kneeling figure, additional figures, including one with animal features, are present as well, adding to the complexity of the scene, which appears to capture an intimate and holy moment. The cross-hatching technique is evident throughout, creating rich shadows and depth, highlighting the emotional gravitas of the gathering.
