Artist, American, born Russia (now Poland), 1881 - 1961

The image shows intersecting and overlapping lines and shapes enclosed by a rectangular frame. The shapes in the abstract composition resemble facial features and architectural elements. The lines suggest contours of a face, with two semi-circular forms as eyes and a slender triangle as a nose. Jagged shapes on the left could be interpreted as teeth, while parallel lines on the right resemble a feather or tree bark. Scattered red dots provide contrast and texture.
