The image shows a landscape with a massive, gnarled tree in the foreground. A horizon line is positioned about a third up from the bottom, leading to an open field in the distance. A building with a steeple is visible to the right of the tree. Cross-hatched lines are used for texture and depth in the sky and landscape. The color palette is primarily sepia, creating a vintage look. Two figures are seated under the tree. Rolling clouds fill the sky.
