The image shows a group of farmers working the land with oxen. A farmer is guiding a plow behind two oxen. In the background, more figures with oxen are visible. The horizon is at the upper third of the composition, with tall clouds in the sky. Trees can be seen in the distance. The illustration uses a monochromatic palette of black, white, and gray. Bold strokes are used throughout the artwork, especially in depicting clouds and furrows in the earth.
