Five men are depicted in an outdoor setting. They are engaged in a task. One man on the left is focused on a fishing trap in a bucket. Another man is crouched beside him. A third man stands to the right, while a fourth man stands to the left. A fifth man is seated in the background, looking towards the others. Their features are angular and their clothing is simple and practical. The background includes a nautical setting with a shed or cabin.
