This drawing shows several figures working together to manually move a large, fallen tree trunk in a wooded area. The scene is set in a dense forest with gnarled trees. The figures are depicted pushing the log with a dynamic sense of movement. The use of chiaroscuro creates stark contrasts of light and dark. The composition emphasizes the physicality of the labor and the rough textures of the forest and the figures' clothing.
