The image shows a woman standing, facing left with both hands raised to adjust her hat. She has styled hair under a brimmed hat, and is dressed in a long-sleeved top with a high collar, a long skirt, and a dark belt. A rocking chair with a dark cushion is to her left, against a wall with foliage or wallpaper patterns and a vase or planter. There is a railing visible behind her, suggesting an interior or veranda setting.
