The image shows a pathway or road surrounded by tall, leafless trees forming an arching canopy. The horizon is high in the composition, partially obscured by converging trees. The technique appears to be a woodcut, with bold black and white areas and visible carved lines. The lines have a sharp, angular quality, adding movement and depth. The color palette is monochromatic, using black ink on a light background to emphasize light and shadow.
