The image features a surreal landscape from a slightly elevated viewpoint. The horizon is positioned near the top third of the picture, with silhouetted hills in the background and a dark sky above. Four mailboxes stand close by, each on tilted posts casting shadows. A large, twisting tree is on the right, near a telephone pole with wires. The brushstrokes are fluid, with a monochromatic color palette of various gray shades creating depth and contrast.
