Artist, American, 1882 - 1971

The image depicts swirling lines and turbulent shapes, creating an abstract scene filled with dynamic movement. Figures resembling humans are entangled within these chaotic forms. Large, geometric forms are present at the lower portion of the image. The sky curves in wide arcs above like a celestial mass. The scene gives a sense of a cityscape caught in a surreal, downward spiral.
