The image features a landscape with a horizon placed slightly below the middle. There are faint features that may resemble distant landforms or mountains above the horizon. A tree with a slender trunk and leaves or flowers is prominently depicted in the center and lower half of the image. The brushwork is dynamic and sweeping, blending detail with more impressionistic areas. The color palette is monochromatic, using shades of black, white, and gray.
