The image captures a section of the Brooklyn Bridge from a slightly elevated perspective. The bridge dominates the left side, with its large, arched towers and intricate web of suspension cables extending across the scene. The cityscape occupies much of the frame, with the city stretching into the distance on the right. The horizon is not distinctly visible. The scene has a soft, sepia tone, and the graininess of the photograph gives a textured appearance. The water and distant buildings are captured in softer focus. The color palette is warm and muted, consisting primarily of shades of brown and tan. Boats and barges are docked by the river, with smoke rising from a few of them.
