The image shows a bridge with people and horse-drawn carriages, spanning a river. The horizon is low, obscured by buildings on the riverbanks. The scene is in soft focus, with a muted color palette of gray. Shadows from the bridge extend over the water, contrasting with the lighter areas where people are gathered. Indistinct buildings in the distance add depth to the composition.
