This is an engraved portrait of an elderly man shown from the chest up, positioned in a slightly turned pose towards the right. The man's facial features include deep-set eyes, a prominent nose, and a full beard and mustache. His hair appears combed back and is mostly covered by a cap. He wears a garment with a large ruff around his neck, and a fur piece draped over his clothing. The background features an arched design with intricate patterns, a classical bust in the top left corner, and illustrations of torches and what appears to be a crossed trumpet on the right side. The engraving includes the name "HENDRICK GOLTZIUS" below the portrait, written in a stylized font with decorative elements.
