The image depicts a woman from the back, in a three-quarter view, revealing her from the shoulders down to her knees. She stands in the middle of a street, facing away from the viewer, with her right arm slightly bent and left arm hanging by her side. She has curly hair visible under a round-brimmed hat and wears a short-sleeved dress with a fitted waist and decorative details on the sleeves. The dress ends just below her knees and she has no visible jewelry or objects in her hands. In the background, there are several people on the street, some walking and others standing. A building with a striped awning and a sign that reads "THE MOHICAN MARKET" is visible in the distance. The setting appears to be a busy street scene from an earlier era.
