Artist, French, 1603 - 1677

The image features a detailed architectural scene across a river. The horizon separates the architecture and trees from the landscape beyond. On the left are towering architectural ruins and large trees framing the scene. Detailed etching techniques show texture and depth. The color palette is monochromatic. Small figures populate the scene, and water flows amidst reeds closest to us.
