The shepherd is dressed in countryside attire, including a hat and a vest, looking into the distance. To the side, there is a small bush and shrubbery. The horizon is low, suggesting a wide-open landscape with distant hills or terrain. In the distance, another figure is seen riding. The style consists of fine lines and stippling in monochromatic tones of muted grays and blues, creating a serene atmosphere.
