The image shows a rustic stone building surrounded by trees. The trees have an elaborate trunk and branches stretching into the sky. The horizon is hidden by the dense trees and the overcast sky. The building has an arched doorway and a small steeple. The artwork uses a tonal, monochrome palette of sepia tones to create an aged, serene atmosphere. The brushstrokes and cross-hatch shading provide texture to the foliage, trees, and stonework of the building.
