Associated Names

Otto Rodewald

Artist, German, 1891 - 1960

The image shows a mountainous landscape with a detailed city or fortress among the peaks. The horizon is not clearly defined. The painting features fine, textured brushstrokes depicting rocks, buildings, and architectural elements in shades of white or gray against a dark background. Large rock formations frame the scene, and beyond them, the city blends into the landscape.
