The image shows a bridge dominating the upper portion of the scene. The horizon is unclear due to the perspective and the bridge structure. Buildings and trees can be seen in the distance. The bridge has lattice work and arches. The etching has loose, expressive lines and stippling for texture. The color palette is monochromatic, with shades of brown ink. A figure with an umbrella walks along a path close to the bridge. Other figures and carriages are present in the background. Light and shadow accentuate the bridge's industrial structure.
