This is a painting of a four-poster bed with an ornamental bedpost. The image depicts a classic four-poster bed with intricately carved wooden posts and a matching design for the canopy. The bed is made up with a mattress covered by a red and white checkered fabric, and a light skirt around the bottom. Adjacent to the bed, on the right side of the image, there is a detailed, separate depiction of the decorative motif on one of the bedposts.
