This is a photograph of sequential motion studies in a series of images. The photograph is a collection of twelve black and white frames arranged in three rows, depicting the sequential motion of a person throwing an object. Each row captures different angles and phases of the movement from preparation to follow-through. The background consists of a high wall or fence, casting shadows on the ground.
