This is a series of motion study images of a horse pulling a cart. The grid contains 24 black and white frames showing the horse and cart from both side and rear views. The images depict the sequential movement of the horse's legs and the cart's wheels as they move from left to right. The background features a gridded board that may provide scale and measure motion, typical of early motion photography studies of animal locomotion.
