The image shows a man seated with his body slightly turned to the right. He has one arm resting on a birdcage and the other on his knee. The man appears to have a slight smile, a prominent nose, and eyes looking downward. He has shaggy, shoulder-length hair and is wearing a long-sleeved shirt with wide cuffs, a loose coat, and trousers that bunch at the knees. Multiple birdcages surround him, some empty and one containing a bird on a perch. The background is plain with no unique features, highlighting the man and the birdcages.
