This is an image of two figures mourning in front of a tombstone. The tombstone is inscribed with "CI-GIT LE COMITÉ DE LA RUE DE POITIERS CONCESSION A PERPÉTUITÉ" and topped with an urn labeled "SCRUTIN DU 10 MARS." One figure wears a top hat and rests against a sack labeled "LA PATRIE," while the other figure has a head covering and leans against a bundle marked "LE CONST. TUTUMEL." The scene is drawn in a monochromatic, sketchy style, reminiscent of Honoré Daumier.
