This is a drawing of an old man in a tall, pointed hat and robe, covered in celestial symbols. He is leaning over a wooden cage containing ducks, which is being opened to release a star with a comet-like trail. The star has an anthropomorphic character and determined expression as it exits the cage. The background is lightly sketched with horizontal strokes.
