This is a rectangular tray with short, curved legs and intricate decorations. Various objects like vases, teapots, cups, flowers, and small utensils are depicted on the bright yellow surface in green, turquoise, tan, and white. The edges of the tray are decorated in floral and geometric patterns in these same colors, and the patterns continue down the legs of the tray. The tray has been tilted slightly on one side so that the patterns on the top are visible.

[1] Widener collection records (in NGA curatorial files) note that the table was "Bought from Duveen, 1915." The year of the sale to Widener was not included in the provenance published in the NGA systematic catalogue entry (Little et al. 1998, 170).
