The image shows an older man sitting against a zebra-striped cushioned surface. He has a beard, mustache, and round glasses. His head is wrapped in a bandage or cloth. He wears a thick robe and a patterned scarf, and holds a white dove. White doves are perched on an open round birdcage nearby. In the background, there is a larger birdcage with birds and herringbone-patterned fabric. A window to the right provides light. Sheets of paper or an open book rest on the table in front of him.
