The painting shows a landscape with bright green rolling hills in the distance. In the front of the image, a white cow grazes in a dark green field framed by a wooden fence and a stone wall that continues off into the distance. Above the hills, the sky is light blue with several white clouds. The brushstrokes are loose and impressionistic.
