Artist, American, 1826 - 1899

The image shows an upper body portrait of a person standing with their torso exposed, their head slightly tilted to the right and face angled slightly downwards. Their facial features are serene with slightly closed eyes and a calm expression; they have short, curly hair. The individual is surrounded by what appears to be fabric or foliage, wrapped around their lower body and extending upwards. Behind them, there are two winged figures resembling putti, one facing forward with a gentle expression and the other turned toward the viewer's right, holding an arrow. The background consists of dark, textured shading, creating depth and suggesting foliage or a natural setting.
