Artist, American, 1826 - 1899

The image shows a full-length view of a nude individual standing with their legs crossed. They are leaning slightly forward with their left arm resting on their raised right arm, which is bent at the elbow. Their hair is short and dark, and their facial features are soft with their gaze directed toward their hands. The setting appears to be outdoors, with a dark, textured background resembling foliage or a natural environment. Two birds, possibly doves, are on the ground beside the figure, adding to the serene atmosphere. The background is heavily shaded, giving the image a classic, sketch-like quality.
