This is a drawing of three individuals in a countryside setting. Two figures in the foreground are conversing while pointing towards the background where an artist is painting outdoors. The characters are dressed in 19th-century rural clothing and the landscape features hills and trees. The drawing uses lines and hatching for depth and a slight satirical tone is present in the characters' exaggerated features and expressions.
